The team behind McLenan Corporate

Margo McLenan

Managing Director & Insolvency Practitioner

With over 40 years of experience in insolvency, Margo has built McLenan Corporate from the ground up. Her career began in 1983 as an insolvency junior at EY, where she climbed the ranks over three decades before stepping into a leadership role elsewhere.

After managing a corporate insolvency team, she took the leap to establish her own firm in 2020. Now, with a growing team behind her, Margo leads with a focus on compliance, strategic guidance, and providing expert advice.

She knows that success in this field is about more than just numbers, it’s about assembling the right team and delivering solutions that make a real difference.

Helen Vogan

Insolvency Manager

With a career spanning 25 years in civil engineering finance, Helen has built an impressive background in financial management, HR, and business operations.

At McLenan Corporate, she oversees case management, recruitment, and team development, ensuring the company runs efficiently. Helen played a key role in growing the team and takes pride in fostering a strong, supportive work environment.

She believes in continuous learning, drawing on Margo’s expertise while also mentoring the team to create a collaborative and high performing culture.

Robyn Phillips

Case Administrator

Robyn joined McLenan Corporate in 2024 as Finance Manager before transitioning into the role of Case Administrator, a move that sparked a real interest in the insolvency world. With a degree in Business and Finance with Accounting, and eight years of experience in the hospitality industry, she brings a strong foundation in finance, team management, and operations.

Previously an Assistant Manager at Buzzworks, Robyn developed a broad skill set spanning finance, event planning, and leadership. Her time there, along with completing a Management Acceleration Programme, gave her the confidence to step into a professional finance role after university.

Though new to insolvency, Robyn has quickly embraced the learning curve. She approaches each case with curiosity, a research mindset, and a willingness to ask questions, never afraid to dig deeper to understand the complexities of the work.

Aimee Inglis

Insolvency Assistant

Aimee provides essential support to the team, assisting with cashiering, case administration, and insolvency processes. Currently studying accounting at university, she balances her studies with hands-on experience at McLenan Corporate, expanding her knowledge in real world finance.

Her professional journey began in a local ice cream shop while completing her Higher qualifications, but she quickly set her sights on a career in finance.

Aimee approaches challenges with a problem solving mindset, learning from past tasks and seeking guidance when needed to continuously develop her skills. She’s proud to be gaining practical experience in insolvency alongside her studies, laying the groundwork for a strong future in the industry.

Terri Ohare

Insolvency Assistant

Balancing two completely different worlds (insolvency and pharmacology) Terri brings a sharp eye for detail and a curiosity to her role. From managing standard documents and chasing responses to maintaining the archives, she understands that even the smallest administrative tasks are crucial to the bigger picture.

Having started with McLenan Corporate while still in school, Terri has grown with the company and continues to learn every day.

Her ability to juggle work and study, while asking all the right questions, makes her a valued team member.
